My Qualifications
I have over 30 years’ experience as a beauty and complementary therapist. When I trained as a beauty therapist in the 1980s, Swedish massage was included in the curriculum. As I began treating clients, I discovered the treatment I found most rewarding to give was massage.
This interest drew me into further training in aromatherapy and reflexology which I practiced for many years, working in private practice in London and Essex. I also spent some time as a voluntary reflexologist at the charity Scope. In 2014, I tried craniosacral therapy myself to try to resolve some back pain. The treatments I received had such a profound impact on me I decided to study the therapy myself in 2015. I have the passion of a convert! Having practiced bodywork for many years, I am astounded at the positive changes using such a light touch can bring about. I have always been keen to update and broaden my skills by attending post graduate courses. Some of those I have attended over the years include reflexology with Lynne Booth, Tony Porter and Suzanne Enzer; and aromatherapy, massage and herbalism courses at The Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine, Neal’s Yard Remedies and The Jing School of Massage. Since qualifying in craniosacral therapy, I have attended post graduate courses, including those taught by Sarah Nesling, Jim Feil, Candace Marrow and Elena Antonova. I am registered with the Craniosacral Therapy Association and a member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists and abide by their ethics and code of conduct. |
